ServiceRanger Diagnostic Solutions offer a range of diagnostic tools to help you troubleshoot and repair your commercial vehicle. From basic fault code troubleshooting to automated transmission and clutch calibration, we offer a package to fit your diagnostic needs. 

ServiceRanger 4 Pro Plus includes the Advantage Automated Clutch calibration software which enables dealers, fleets and independent repair facilities to calibrate the clutch on non-Eaton/Eaton Cummins transmissions, including popular models such as Detroit™ DT12®, Volvo® I-Shift and Mack® mDrive™ automated transmissions, when installing a new Advantage Automated clutch from Eaton.

Upgrade ServiceRanger 4 Pro to SR4 Pro Plus

Follow these steps to upgrade your current ServiceRanger 4 to SR4 Pro Plus.

To upgrade your ServiceRanger 4 software license to SR4 Pro Plus, you must have a ServiceRanger 4 Pro license and your current software version must be version 4.9 or higher. (Click the Help button, then About ServiceRanger, to see your current version.) If you are not at the latest version be sure to upgrade your software first.

Once your software is on the latest version, you must login to your account and purchase the Pro Plus license, in order to receive your new SR4 Pro Plus upgrade serial number. Navigate to the catalog to display the software package(s) available. 

Proceed through the software package license purchasing process; adding the Pro Plus license to your Shopping Cart and continuing through the Checkout process. 

Payment methods include credit card or purchase order. 

Software license Serial Numbers purchased with a credit card will be issued to you at the time of purchase.  VISA®, MasterCard®, and American Express are accepted.

Software license Serial Numbers associated with a purchase order are issued to you only after the purchase order is validated. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing.  An email notification is sent to you when this process is complete.  Purchase orders should be made payable to:

Once you have completed your license purchase move to the steps below to upgrade your ServiceRanger 4 software. Please note that when purchasing ServiceRanger 4 Pro Plus, you will receive two license codes:

Once you have purchased your software upgrade, open ServiceRanger 4 and navigate to the "upgrade" section (click "go to" > settings > license). Enter in the new ServiceRanger 4 upgrade code received in your confirmation email, click the upgrade button and restart SR4.

Once ServiceRanger 4 is updated, click the "go to" button and then click on the App Center icon. You'll see the Eaton Advantage Automated Clutch calibration tool as available diagnostic software. Click the install button which will open a new window, then click the "download calibration software now" button.

Once the software finishes downloading (typically will be in your downloads folder), right click the .zip file to extract the files. Do not change the installation path. Once the files are extracted, click into the newly extracted folder and run the "install" file. Select your language and click through the prompts.

When prompted, enter the second Serial Number received in your email to activate the calibration software. Once activated, click the close button, then click Next to begin the installation.

Once the software is installed, click the Finish button. Close and restart SR4, and then navigate back to the ServiceRanger 4 App Center. Launch the clutch calibration tool and you should now see the "open" button, which you can click to launch the tool.

New to ServiceRanger 4?

Follow these steps to download and install ServiceRanger 4 in your facility.

To successfully install and operate ServiceRanger your computer must meet the following system requirements:

  • Platform: IBM or 100% Compatible
  • Operating System (32 and 64-bit versions):
    • Windows 7
    • Windows 8
    • Windows 10
  • Processor: 2.0 GHz or greater, dual core or greater
  • RAM Memory: 2 GB or greater, 4 GB or more recommended
  • Hard Drive: 10 GB available space 
  • Display: SVGA (1024 x 768 pixels) Color
  • Internet: Internet connection required for updates
  • Required Software: Microsoft .Net Framework version 4.7.2 or greater

You must have full administrator privileges on the computer before these files can be downloaded and installed.

Before beginning the installation of the ServiceRanger 4 software it is strongly recommended that you exit all Windows programs

Click on the link above to download the software. Follow the on-screen instructions to Run the software installation.*

When the installation is complete and you start ServiceRanger 4 the first time, you will be prompted to activate the software.

To activate the software you must enter the Serial Number and Order Number you obtained after completing the requirements in the Create Account and Purchase License sections below. (Note that Pro Plus users will receive two (2) serial numbers.)

To purchase and manage your ServiceRanger 4 software license Serial Number, you must first register on our website to create your ServiceRanger 4 user account.

Note:  If a ServiceRanger4 user account was already created for your business go to Existing Users Login

When completing the registration you must accurately identify the business with whom you are associated to avoid delays in processing.  

Important: By registering you are assuming the Administrator role for your business’s ServiceRanger4 account. Any duplicate registrations for your business location will be ignored.

Once you submit your information it is compared to the customer information in our records. Please allow up to 2 business days for processing.  When complete, an email is sent to you with instructions to access your ServiceRanger 4 user account.

When the installation is complete and you start ServiceRanger 4 the first time, you will need to activate the software before you can use it.

Important: An internet connection is required to complete software license verification and initial data package download

To activate the software you must enter the Serial Number and Order Number you obtained during the software license purchase process.

Once the activation is complete and the software opens ServiceRanger 4 will download the initial database. This will ensure you have the latest data and the correct permissions for your license are assigned. This process may take up to 15 minutes depending on your internet speed.

Note: The Serial Number represents your license to use the ServiceRanger 4 software.  When the software is activated your software license is verified with information in our records to confirm that it is installed on only one computer in accordance with the software end-user license agreement (EULA).
